Our CISO of not inconsiderable repute, Phil Cracknell will be joining Public Sector Account Manager Paul Bright and our technical colleagues Duncan Ross, Dan Hunt and Luke Flinders as we engage with SOCITM members to hear about their security challenges during these unprecedented times – we hope you can join us!

Our panel will explore the following key areas during this session, please join us and share your thoughts, views and questions with our team:

Speaking the language of the board

“I’m a network manager, we don’t have a CISO as such. I know there are some vulnerabilities in our enterprise but my management refuse to allow me the resources or budget to address them and I’m afraid we will get hacked, how can I convince them?”

Measuring Information Security (Metrics)

“I’m a CISO and my board want a simple way to measure how effective our security is – no one product seems to do this. I have said that we need to know how good we are in REAL terms, like a CFO could trade interchangeable values with any other CFO (EBITDA, PE Value and share price for example)”

Known Unknowns

“Is it possible to gain 100% visibility of our technology estate? I understand that I am almost certain to be hacked or suffer a breach via one of these unknown systems. I’ve tried talking to the IT Manager about rogue servers, BYO devices and orphaned IT but he says he knows all the systems on our network!”

Does compliance = security?

“I keep telling my company we need to do more in terms of security other than tick the boxes and be ready for GDPR, NIS Directive and others. I don’t know how to make traction, my board only want to do ‘just enough’”

We hope you can join us on Monday 11th May at 11am! https://socitmadvisory.webex.com/socitmadvisory/onstage/g.php?MTID=e881dd86a64f6c24db0d0d9a64a5d80d1

  • I have worked with IP-Performance for over 20 years and have always found them to be knowledgeable, helpful, prepared to go above and beyond and always right on the edge of modern technology and trends. So, when they suggested we might want to let them do an internal security audit, we jumped at the chance and the results were nothing short of jaw dropping… I would recommend anyone take a look at their portfolio, even if you think you have all your security bases covered… Trust me, you haven’t. I would recommend the portfolio, and anything that IP-P do to anyone across the industry. The breadth of what they cover is astounding.
